Would spending 5M extra (20M) on Ajer or Billing have made sense?

They're clearly working on it, and have been all window but there's loads of balances to be struck. Hopefully something will come off, but I don't think the signing of Gunn (which I think is a great move all round) will have had any bearing one way or the other.
