Day after day I see an old family friend who we've known since I was 10 (so 11 years)

post absolutely crackers anti lockdown, anti mask, anti vax, anti anything a government does conspiracy s**te all over social media. Memes full of crass s**te and false information, angry long posts, sharing of false Covid cures, you know the stuff.

I know she's too far gone so I don't even bother engaging, but it's very depressing when you see all her friends and family posting in agreement. Were people always this thick, we just never saw it because there wasn't the platforms?

The sad thing about it from a personal point of view is I don't think I'd ever want to see her again, because she seems so full of hate and anger and we'd end up having an awkward time.

Anyone else have a similar situation?
