A big concern i had when we sold Buendia was what that meant for Pukki

I think we could be more effective playing something like a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 with wingers / forwards supporting Pukki.

But for Pukki to succeed we need to be playing the type of balls across the 6 yard box Man City were yesterday, rather than aerial balls. Assuming he won’t be getting so many Buendia sex passes.

Other issue is of course that Cantwell doesn’t really fit into that formation very neatly either. He’s not a number 10 and he’s not a wide man.

A conundrum….
