Despite the fact that Watching Man City is a bit like watching a video game, they convince themselves that our very good side should be able to overcome a squad many, many (many) more times valuable. Their solution of course is for Delia to ‘spend’…although quite where she is to find 50 x her own personal wealth is lost in the fog of their nonsensical whim.
The gulf between the top four or five and the rest of the Premier League is shifting faster than the polar ice-caps are melting, but it means nothing to them, because their lives are defined by what happens on a Saturday and always will be.
I’m really happy with the way things are right now. Very happy and very grateful for what we have.
