Even if we were strong and better able to compete, I'm still not a fan of the Prem...

1. I hate how easily the players go down. I mean that's true throughout the pyramid, I suppose, but you see it more in the top flight than you do even in the Championship. I'm hoping that the new rule interpretations on fouls might reverse that a little, though.

2. I hate how much money is involved. And not just because we don't have that money - I just think it is obscene more generally + as the importance of £ has increased in the Prem, so more and more decisions about top flight are dictated pretty much by that alone.

3. I hate how most teams don't have a chance, which is obviously a function of 2., but still worth its own point, I reckon. With the notable exception of Leicester in recent years, you know it's unlikely that the Champions will be anything other than one of four clubs, and most seasons in recent times you can even predict THE team or at least one from two with decent confidence. In the Championship and lower leagues it's not so obvious at the start of a season who is going to win it and who is going to get promoted; more generally the differences between teams are much less. I prefer it that way.

Despite all the above any fan wants their team in the top flight; I just wish the top flight was different!
