Before Wayne Rooney went to Manchester United, he would often have a lemonade with his family after home games in a pub in Croxteth in Liverpool.

One Saturday, a mate who was in the pub, approached the Rooney family table and asked Wayne if he would sign that day's match programme.

Wayne obliged and asked if my mate wanted a particular message alongside the autograph.

Quick as a flash, my mate said, 'Could you put "Michael Owen is a Welsh c**t" on it please?'.

Wayne did so, much to the amusement of his family and the rest of the pub."
