I actually understood this as "We knew all about BK8-sleaze and didn't give a s**t."

"They were paying loads more money and that's all that mattered to us; obviously we knew about the T'n'A marketing but it really didn't matter to us given the amount they were going to pay and anyway the hotdog-throating was only a laugh; then a few woke snowflake fans started bleating on social meeja and so the PR people lost their never and we had to reverse what was a perfectly sensible commercial decision. It's cost us real money and I'm furious."

That's what I think he's saying.
