Maybe Ben K. told Webber they did their due diligence when they didn't?
Who knows?

You cant expect Webber to go through everything and essentially duplicate all the work Ben K. has done.

There comes a point where people are delegated responsibilities.
I'm sure the board and Delia signed off on the BK8 deal.
They relied on others who let them down.

The good thing that came out of this is that I'm sure more questions will be asked in the future with proof of due diligence required.
Mistakes are fine as long as you learn from them.
