Of course people understand it, it’s just that there are a few old fashioned dinosaurs

Amongst us who prefer to see their football team actually keep its best players and succeed at the highest level (and maybe even one day win a cup or something) rather than lose any good players the moment a more wealthy club decides they want them snd get relegated again every time we get up. And who do not get that excited about big transfer fees or sales of our best talent just to enable our owners to keep hold of and grow their asset whilst putting f**k all in themselves and fleecing their fans when it suits them for away memberships and with exorbitant casual ticket prices.
