Agree with most of this, that's what Southgate has changed

He has an actual plan for the team, how he wants to play, then fits players in it.
Sometimes that means good players sit on the bench.
At the moment its getting results, albeit no always being thrilling to watch, but (monday aside) international football isn't usually like a basketball game.
