This came out from Charlton after the Bent transfer:-
"The Charlton PLC chairman Richard Murray added that Curbishley had been working with the board to ensure players were brought in as soon as possible "We've been working since we got to 40 points. From that day when we roughly knew we would be in the Premiership next season we have been working in terms of what we were hoping to do. I've heard the chairman talking about bringing four more players in and this week we've spoken to three other players who we're hopeful about.""
I reckon that Charlton must have got to 40 points in late Feb/early March ... which is not entirely unadjacent to Damo's attack of "can'tbearseditis" ... it all adds up ...
