First thing: expensive for accomodation, beer and food - think London prices

You can get fairly cheap weekend deals at top hotels off-season, but might struggle in August. If you're all young lads with a low budget then I'd head for somewhere like Tallinn, Budapest, Berlin, Bratislava or Bucharest. You do get lads piss-ups/stag-dos over here, but due to the cost, it's usually 30-somethings on decent wages.

I've never had a problem with anyone of any racial origin here (it's only Swedes the Danes dislike!). That said, a load of loud, beered up lads can attract unwanted attention from the locals anywhere. Then again, the Danes like a beer or ten too ... For the most part they're very friendly and are happy to have a chat, are knowledgable about British football, have a similar sense of humour and will help out if you look lost, can't understand a menu, etc. And that includes the girls, who'll flirt forever. Don't come with high expectations of pulling though ...

Plenty of bars and clubs (get hold of a Copenhagen Post as soon as possible when you get there and/or check out User Posted Link - click on 'In&Out Guide' for what's on). Steer clear of the Irish/English/Scottish bars as they're crap - except for Bloomsdays (great music, pool table and good beer) and The Dubliner (for an English breakfast - otherwise s**te, although for some reason it does attract lots of Danish girls of a Friday/Saturday night). Clubs can be a bit pricey to get into (15+ quid). Some of the best times I've had have been at ordinary Bodegas - there's one up Vesterbrogade that's rammed most of the time with Danes of all ages and Karoake if you fancy a sing-song.

Don't bother with Christiania unless you go to a gig at Loppen - the semi-official weed sellers have been cleared out a couple of years ago and it's almost exclusively stoned to f**k scumbags down there now (except at the aforementioned Loppen).

Most of the, um, usual stag-do entertainment establishments are down Istedgade next to the central railway station. I don't know how much they cost though - I can't imagine they are cheap though.
