As they are illegal unless in a “pilot” scheme which seems to be a scam to put money in business pockets rather than test the safety the users flout any and all laws.
Banning them is pointless as there are too many out there already so proper licensing/insurance as road vehicles and regulations (e.g. mandatory helmet wearing) are needed. Someday soon a kid is going to be killed while riding one on the road and the driver of the vehicle shamed as he didn’t give care and attention to the little brat.
Without being political the Government need to get off the fence and legislate for this menace.
In the meantime I will continue to step in front of them on the pavement and “provide notice that I am there” when I see them on the road!
