I don't follow the logic that a rich foreign owner won't maximise sponsorship cash

In our situation, if we get a bit less in from sponsors all that happens is our budget is smaller.

If we have a wealthy owner propping up the cashflow, we will already be spending more than our turnover and therefore any shortfall comes out of the owners pocket. Surely we would be more incentivised that ever to take sponsorship cash?
