I don't see the two are linked

If anything, if we are getting less in sponsorship, we should be trying to get more in transfer fees, not less.

But in terms of sponsorship, I would be very happy for us to accept a less lucrative deal and have a smaller player budget. Probably only very slightly smaller given the sums being talked about. Sponsorship income from this deal is presumably fairly insignificant compared to TV money for example.
