best way to deal with this nonsense these days i find is to put a straw hat on

i've got two now, one is a trilby with a nice palm tree ribbon (thinking of changing it to yellow and green but that might be a tad too ott) and the other a pork pie straw hat with a tatty brim. two rules: i can only wear them in the summer and not outside of the garden confines unless abroad somewhere sunny. since i've started wearing them i find i couldn't give a flying f**k about what people think of taking the knee. to be fair though, it was exactly the same before i discovered #strawtherapyhats.
