I'm very disappointed. For Emi. I expected it for us, though it's still gutting obviously

Villa are bigger than us but still not that far off relegation fodder honestly. Doubtless they're paying him a lot more than we can afford to. They're certainly not the kind of top-tier club I really do think he could aspire to and neither is he in a better shop window there than he would have been here (which would have been the case if he'd gone to some other suggested clubs).

Pretty obvious he was going and I'm glad it's happened early so we know we have that much in the kitty for recruitment. Webber and the Board will have already planned and doubtless already approached targets.

I'm obviously gutted we won't see him next term but I'd kind of resigned myself to losing him and Max too. Todd I think we've more of a chance of keeping but that's based on nothing really. And it's certainly the case in recent years that every time we've sold a brilliant players we've come back stronger from it - no reason to suppose that won't happen again, especially with the team we have in place to run these things now.
