We are a QF side really, that's PAR for us a tournament, get there and we've got as far as we could expect to.
English players are notoriously overrated, we see this time and again, backed up by how unattractive they've always been to european clubs, English players are very rarely targeted by top european teams.
What Southgate has done is move away from using the same players time and again and try and build an approach across the ages, and bring younger players through.
He deserves a lot of credit for that.
International football is terminally dull though without the excitement created by the pressure of a major tournament, the tempo is a LOT slower than we are used to in the Prem, and there are more teams focused on being solid.
