What was refreshing at the start (new, young players, a focus on the collective) has quite quickly got stale in my view.

We've got a really good bunch of youngsters but I never get the sense that tactically we've got the nouse to beat the very best sides.

Undoubtedly it's better than the years where we struggled to qualify, but a top, top coach I think would be looking at grafting in a few players with a bit of savvy to help us manage games against the best teams.

In tournament football anything is possible - and I'll give Gareth kudos for making the team likeable for the first time in years.
