Incidentally, if we win our group in the euros, we won't have that easy draw this time

winner of our group plays the runner up of the group with Portugal, France and Germany in it.

Whereas runner up in our group plays the *runner up* of the group containing Spain, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia.

So chances are you'd much rather finish second in our group. Which is weird. Not quite sure how they've ended up with this system.
