This isn't political....... (I just don't care about your political teams!)

I have long held the view that most government backed conspiracy theories break down because when you look behind the curtain of virtually every government, regardless of political persuasion, you come to the conclusion that people are just generally s**t at what they do.

The smart people are probably doing something else or something more productive/worthwhile.

People often confuse evil intent with basic incompetency.
