Our model is in place to enable our owners to retain ownership of the club. You cannot

divorce it from the fact that almost uniquely we are likely to sell one or two of our best players immediately after promotion. Leeds didn't do that. Villa didn;t either. Because they have the financial clout to keep players and offer them what it takes to retain them.

Most of our fans seem happy to accept this, it is what it is, but lets not pretend its not directly linked to why we may sell players this summer and indeed one of the reasons why we have fallen behind the likes of Leicester, West Ham and others who are now able to sniff around our players and grow to a level that we have not been able to when in the premier league.
