Please don't take my Emi away 😞

I'm hating all of this. I watched some of the build up to the final Prem matches on SSN yesterday and shuddered.

It's like moving on from our friendly local primary school where everyone knows us and likes (or at least respects) us and where we regularly win the Star of the Week award in assembly.

We know we're too big to stay there but we now have to move onto some snooty elite public school that we've been told is the best. The accepted expectation is that we'll be bullied and will need to act as fags while we're in lower school. We will also be expected to change and toughen up in order to survive. Whereas really, what should be changing is the school. I yearn for the days of the old comprehensive school system that we were in in the late 1980s/early 1990s!

Now of course, lots of kids feel nervous in the summer holidays about changing schools, (and some may be more than ready for the change), let's hope that by Christmas, we're feeling nicely settled into our new environment.
