Most memorable match(es)?
Apart from the phenomenal home win v Huddesfield there are 3 away games that stick in my mind and how good we were. Birmingham, we blasted them off the pitch making chance after chance, Forrest, I thought our intensity and pressing was superb and Stoke. At Stoke obviously Emi got sent off but was playing brilliantly before that, then the effort we put in to not concede a third was unreal.
Favourite/most impactful player(s)?
I am a massive Kenny McLean fan and I'm also very quickly being drawn towards Kiaran Dowell. Kenny adds something to our midfield that no one else at the club can do, Skipp gave him licence to do his thing driving the team forward. As for KD, I think if he stays fit he will be very influential for us next season with his long shot ability and free kicks
When you KNEW we'd win?
I always thought we'd finish top 2
Best goal(s)/bit of skill(s)?
Too many but I think the Dowell tap in he scored against Huddesfield, the build up was ridiculous
Most concerning moment(s)?
Other teams targeting Emi trying to get him angry and therefore get him sent off. I also hate the current trend of feigning injuries which has become more obvious with no fans in the ground
Silliest moment(s)?
Making us play Preston after so many players were away on International duty
Any random thoughts about the season?
Only that I wished that we could've all been to some of the matches. Assuming Skipp won't be back next season I didn't get to see him play live.
Thoughts about next season?
I'm optimistic, I think we'll do much better than most of the pundits and fans of other teams think. Webber has a massive few months ahead now to get the right players in, if he can do as well as he did last pre-season then I think we'll get 40 points and stay up
