heh, the videodrome (or an earlier version) came across my desk at work years ago

I'd have thought the gains would be slight - but these days fine margins can make a huge amount of difference.

My observation would also be that all the training kit is only as good as the people you have to prepare and use it (particularly on the coaching side). I'd have said we've got that in great shape at the moment, so, all to the good.

Psychologically - the fact we're now always on the lookout for new ways to gain a slight advantage is the main thing I find encouraging. Whether the videodrome makes a big difference itself or not, I suspect that the culture which leads us to trying new things like this will really help keep everything feeling fresh and exciting and moving forward - particularly for the young players. And that will be as important in itself.

Hoping we continue to make sure the training facilities are top notch. It's great to hear the players talking about that again in interviews (and doing so genuinely, rather than it being in the checklist script they've been asked to read from)
