Great questions

Most memorable match(es)?

Quite a few, but 4-1 at home against Stoke seemed a key one for me.

Favourite/most impactful player(s)?

Again, feels like a couple of seasons ago in that everyone has contributed. Hard to look past Emi as most impactful, but Skipp, Max, Krul, Gibson/Hanley, teemu, Todd and Kenny have all been amazing.

All the other regulars have played their parts too, but when we went through the mini injury crisis and had to draft in Sorenson and Barden or when Dowell and Hugill came in to cover for Emi and pukki... And through all of these periods we kept consistent and picking up results. Hugely impressive.

When you KNEW we'd win?

Beating Brentford one nil was the great settler for me. At that point it felt more likely than not.

Best goal(s)/bit of skill(s)?

The buendia goal from the long pass over his shoulder was sublime. As was a couple of Dowell's late in the season. Again, being blessed the consistent high skill levels across the park mean that you could pick several top notch bits of skill per game. I've watched entire seasons where you could argue we've created less.

Most concerning moment(s)?

Krul injury. McGovern injury. Gibson injury, Xavi injury, Emi red cards. Emi/Todd unsettled. Anyone (mainly outsiders) thinking this has been a straightforward season is wrong wrong wrong.

Silliest moment(s)?

Onel getting tattooed. The new videodrome (I'm sure it's brill, but it has a whiff of the pink dressing room stuff)

Any random thoughts about the season?

Proud to be a Norwich fan, particularly in the context of all th ESL. Huge credit to everyone involved. To excel during a pandemic is no mean feat.

The rise of Dowell, Sorenson, Andrew O, Dimi is hugely reassuring too.

Thoughts about next season?

Hopefully we won't have the same kind of injury crisis as last time there. For all the self flaggelation I don't think there's any sane way we could have planned for that. Similarly - the goalkeeping situation this year.

I'd love for us to strengthen and play to our potential. I think the fine margins mean with a bit of reasonable fortune we could do okay. It'll be tough, but the people and system are good.

If we come straight back down it won't be that we haven't tried. It'll be that what we tried didn't work.

The teams coming down this year have comprehensively proven that spending money is not synonymous with 'trying'. I'd hope that we remember that when we go through an inevitable tough patch and trust the system that has led to two brilliant wonderful seasons in the last three.
