My point is about conduct - and when someone is off work with stress looking for support, I think statements like "the emails may have (sic) more than justified" is just f**king rude.

I think people can probably keep that s**t to themselves, particularly when someone is (somewhat bravely) exposing their vulnerabilities to a wider audience?
