Earnie is, in theory, a good buy - he's enthusiastic, got pace and a poachers instinct. Sadly, he's not very good when the ball is coming at him at six feet, which appears to be our stock in trade this season. It remains to be seen if he retains his enthusiasm next season.
Actually, it's been a long time since Worthy's managed to sign a good player and manage to find a role for him. Hucks, Svenny & Leon spring to mind, but that's 2 and a half years ago. Ashton should have been, but he was almost exclusively used (especially this season) as a target man.
