Well, took the Mrs and the pan lids and sat through almost 80 minoots of absolute forking excruciating bilge for my troubles. I debated all morning whether to go or not but chances for me to get to see City these days are few and far between so like a drug crazed crack addict I succumbed and like all good smack heads I decided to put my family through it as well.
Wee Spillane was encouraging, Shackell was also and I grudgingly afford my doffed cap to Hucks as well who was the bollocks today (for 10 mins anyway). Tip top display from Gallacher, chuffed for him. Earnie ran his little socks off and all credit to him too but he really must be pondering his wisdom at opting for us.
I've always had reservations about Huckerby and the seemingly Emporers new clothes perspective of other city fans but his after match comments were smack on the money for me. Whilst I can appreciate the frustration at having to see our team underperform on so many occasions this season I could never, ever, applaud a goal by the opposition. Bollocks to 'em. Those w**kers that took this cheap sordid route today can f**k right off. I'm sorry boys but it does come across as extremely fickle and the players must pick up on that and it does affect performances. When we took the lead it was crying out for a response chant of "You're even worse than us!" in reply to their earlier goading. Anyway, the wash up is that we were pump for 80 minutes, the Coo Pee Arr fans summed it up in delicious irony by chanting "It's just like watching Brazil!"
Sad days indeed.
FAO: Delia; I noticed you were last out of the bar. Again. Tsk.
