recently interviewed the new owner of Them-Down-The-Road.

The prime motive of the takeover was a Risk v Reward analysis, which clarifies for me why Norwich do not have prospective new owners lining up (you always buy the worst house in a good road. Norwich is the small but well-maintained house in the good road, and so there's only minimum reward on the horizon, plus a reasonable risk)
