I wondered if that included

bonuses to be paid on promotion (Hucks I suspect would have earned a bucketload there) and transfer payments on Promotion (Huckerby, Svensson, etc etc etc.).

I.e. actual money paid out each week was 52% (or whatever), but with all the tasties thrown in it reached 87%.
