You look for a reaction from the players.

Clearly he is finding out which players are willing to stay and fight and those who have already chucked it in. (clearly a lot of them)

As mentioned before, for a team rebuilding in LG1 it may be one of the best times to do it.
There will be a ton of quality free agents on the market who might buy into the project of promotion.
I expect a HUGE clear out of players.
