because the league format makes shock results far less likely so will act further to concentrate money etc in the hands of The Few.

However it's in a totally different ballpark from ESL where there was literally no jeopardy and you got in through once being a team people had heard of when you used to be good, not by earning your place each year.

I hope this fan-led review the gummint has promised happens and has some teeth and there are some good outcomes from it. The ESL thing is a watershed moment for English football and Stuff Needs Fixing. They'll only try to do it again another way otherwise.
