Here appears to be one way the ESL could find itself scuppered, anyway

At the moment, overseas footballers can only work and play here if they have a visa - and by law, that has to be endorsed by the FA.

So unless the FA decides to endorse all ManU, Chelsea etc's overseas players, then the ESL would actually have to get the law changed to keep their players.

Which might be a struggle for them right now...
