If they take the football clubs out of Manchester (even if only for a few games per season) in order that fans from Dubai, China and USA! USA! USA! can watch wall-to-wall soccerball, it’s no longer that club and identity.
Which would lead to a debate as to which fans are most important - the millions who watch on TV or the those in the ground (one day)? That’s a vipers’ nest. And then maybe the behind closed doors matches will remain the norm...
And finally, it demeans and reduces all other tournaments and competitions, the exact opposite of what that greedy old f**ker Perez was saying in Spanish TV.
I didn’t think the world could get any worse, frankly, after the last few years, but the fates s**t in my bed yet again.
