Then found that to try and stay at the top table (CL) where the big money is you have to keep spending more and more on players, so that in the end he has found himself having to put money in. With a guaranteed place he can reduce his spend on players and just rake in those juicy profits (I mean they'll never threaten to win the ESL that way but he doesn't care one jot about that)
