Yeah, it'll be huge this time round. In '98 there were loads of places to see the games

on big screens - mostly indoors, but I imagine they'll have more outdoor screens this time round. I assume your mates will know the crack in Berlin, but best place I saw games in '98 was Schleusenkrug near the canal (Schleusen means locks) behind the Zoo on the edge of Tiergarten - biggish beer garden and good barbie. Small and hot inside for the games and mostly Germans, but great atmosphere. Steer clear of the Irish pubs & sports bars - they'll be full of arsehole(d) ex-pats (although if you find yourself hankering after a decent English breakfast/Sunday lunch the Oscar Wilde is not too bad)
