Imo it was one of our better away performances, without ever being spectacular. Perhpas if Hucks would have scored that 1 on 1 the game would have been different. Anyway here are my match ratings....
Gallagher (8) 2 or 3 very good saves, and good distrabution - deserves to keep place on Monday
Spillane (6) 1st half he was beaten pretty much every time down his flank, and his passing was very susect, second half he grew in confidence, showed some nice touches, won his headers, and his passes improved, i wouldn't say he is ready to play regulary judging by that performance - certainly not at right back
Doherty (6) Solid without being spectacular
Shackell (6) Lost his man several times, and needs to work on his positioning, won most of his headers though
Drury (6) See Doherty
Henderson (6) Worked hard as usual, but still lacks that quality on the final 3rd, and how he bottles tackles at times is infuriating, did improve a bit midway through the second half though
Robinson (7) Good game, kept the ball, got it down and passed it, i think people have been critasising him just for the sake of it at times
Ethuhu (7) Best performace yet, started off slow, but once he got into the pace of the game he was strong, broke fawrd well and won headers in the middle of the park, more of the same please
Hucks (6) Our most creative spark going foward as usual, but really should have scored that 1 on 1!
Hughes (5) Shocking! Always involved and willing to run, but always gave the f**king ball away! Please for the love of god Worthy, if your staying, get f**king rid!
Earnshaw (6) No service, and isolated for most of the game, hoofs from the back to his head as usual didn't help
Subs:
R Jarvis (7) Looked bright a lively, more of the same
McVeigh (6) Little time to make an impact, when he came on, i don't no what formation we reverted to, and i don't think the players did either, as a result of this we lost momentum which allowed Wednesday to kill of the game
