For our Manchester Canaries, today was the end of our season. Good riddance, because quite frankly, it's been absolutely awful.
Having been at Burnley and Preston; today was better. We passed the ball and the 'hoof' was largely absent. Hendo and Spillane had good games on the right, Dury and Hucks a threat on the left. It was the centre that again was missing. Doc and Shackell produced some moments of comedy defending, especially for their goal. We saw glimpses from Dickson, Hughes was, shall we say, enthusiastic, Robinson, largely absent. Earnie tried his best on the limited scraps. Gallagher, looked very sharp, who'll be ok when we cash in on Green.
We should at least have had a draw, as Wednesday were not that good. We failed, yet again, to produce a real cutting edge to put the game away.
So, a very poor season has, for us ended. In two years, we Mancs have seen two wins (both at Crewe). That is just not good enough. We need a change in management. Next year is so so important for the future of our football club and the current personnel are just not up to the task.
Al, Derek, Seb; your away day company has, as ever, been top class, but sadly not matched by the playing squad. See you in August!
