Worthy is an ex-Wendy for starters, so he's not going to be predisposed to like Wanker. Couple that with the appalingly bad grace with which Wanker meets his defeats by Norwich, and I actually respect Worthy for his refusal to buckle to the false cameraderie and artificial impression of respect that the post-match handshake etc. implies. Basically, Worthy thinks he's a c**t and isn't bothered enough to hide it.
Colin Wanker, however much he hides behind this "We're all good mates" bulls**t, exposes his true self there. He can't stand the idea that someone dares disrespect him or fail to worship him, particularly in public. Hence the extremely childish insult, which shows just how right Worthy was.
What a sad bastard.
