Well, OK ...

But Stepanovs, Cygan, Grimandi, Grondin, Garde, Diawara, Luzhny, Malz and Wreh were all very cheap signings who weren't intended to be regular first-team players. Wreh and Grimandi in particular did their bit towards Arsenal's Double successes.

Kanu's goalscoring record for Arsenal really wasn't bad (about 1 in 3), Aliadiere cost next to nothing, Boa Morte was decent and Luzhny was a reasonable player as well.

Wright and Jeffers I'll give you - Cygan and Stepanovs were/are obviously useless but as cheap back-up that's the way it often goes. Inamoto was only on loan (again, back up) and I didn't think Vivas was all that bad.

Suker was a bit of a let-down but only cost 500k and scored 8 goals in 8 starts and 14 sub appearances.

So all in all I think his record isn't too shabby ... :P
