the one thing he did change is that England try to play proper football under him - defenders and midfielders who are comfortable on the ball, strikers who like it on the ground rather than relying on a target man.

Which I think is the right way to play, and the way that gives you a chance of winning things.

Allardyce would be a step back to the way we used to play.
