I'd like to know how many people were in substance killed by Covid. If you were going to die on say 1 Feb, but caught Covid and died on 1 Jan instead, but wouldn't have died but for the condition that would have killed on you in any event on 1 Feb, then whilst true to say that you "died of Covid", that would not very satisfactorily convey the truth of the event in my opinion. No doubt these things will one day be pored over.
