Obviously not too successfully, but the trajectory was set. Roeder and the club leadership didn’t have a cohesive plan (at that time) so we over-reached in the loan field over too long a period and lost the trust of the squad and the support. God knows how 20,000+ kept coming, when you consider that in the early 90s, during a successful period, we got 14-16,000 week in, week out.
