..& I'm SO sorry for having to ask, cos god knows the amount of flipping ipod threads there have been on here already (& yes, they wound me up.. sigh)..
My computer was (or so I thought) all singing, all dancing, about 5 yrs ago.. I am aware that things move on quickly in cyberland.. BUT, I got an ipod a few weeks ago & when I plug it in to my USB duberryflip, I get the following:
'HI-SPEED USB Device Attached To non-HI-SPEED Hub.
There are no HI-SPEED USB host controllers installed on this computer.
The USB Mass Storage Device will function at reduced speed.
You must add a HI-SPEED USB host controller to this computer to obtain maximum performance.'
So what's that all about then? Does this mean that the ipod will play songs at 'reduced speed', or that it won't be able to charge fully?? And how exactly does one go about adding a 'HI-SPEED USB'? Sorry for the random use of capitals, just repeating what my comp was chucking at me!
Any help appreciated..
