Actually, to clarify my view

I don't think we will ever get 'herd immunity'. The new strains pretty much rule that out. I think it is more of a case of you will get covid at some point. That is pretty much inevitable in my view.

If you have been vaccinated and you have antibodies / memory T lymphocytes / etc this will probably be minor.

If you haven't then you are looking at similar outcomes those today. Treatments might improve but if you aren't in the best of health you could very well still end up dying.

UK circa 20 percent vaccine refusal. France circa 50%. Poland circa 70%. There is still a long way to go. :-/
