Mixer taps have hot and cold inputs a lever tap just mixes them

Should be fine just need to look at the underneath of the tap and check input. Hopefully you have screw values to isolate the incoming water. Then it’s easy to turn those off and replace the tap. Also you need to check footprint of the tap in terms of existing holes etc.
