Many people may not be disappointed with how they’ve gone. Some people seem convinced that it’s compulsory to have “a dip” and that both our challengers will also have one.

I think it’s been a huge, wasted opportunity which leaves our promotion prospects far more finely balanced than they ought to be given the gap we had opened up.
