I suspect that the delay has been so as not to make too many changes all together.

It does make sense to have Gianoulis in ASAP and getting acclimatized - freeing Sorenson to eventually come in to DMF and thereby allowing McLean to fit into the no.10 role.

Suspect that there's more recovery from illness/injury management of McLean/Dowell/Stiepy/McLean going on behind the scenes than we've been told.

( nb- recovery from Covid isn't just a case of getting past the isolation period)
