House prices are crazy.

My mum bought her house for a few hundred quid.....
Its now worth around 300K

The variability of house prices in the US is vast.
I live in the midwest where the cost of living is dirt cheap.
In my local town you can buy a small starter home (1 bath/2bed) for under 30K.
This is a town with virtually no crime.
